Can I use my benefits from work to pay for services?

Absolutely. Regardless of whether you have booked your session to occur online (virtually) or in-person, you will receive a receipt/invoice and confirmation to the e-mail address you used to book. This documentation contains the information most benefits/insurance providers require such as the service provider’s registration number, the date, time, and length of the session(s), the physical office address, and the amount paid including tax. This can be used to seek reimbursement from your provider.

Please note that we do not offer direct billing to extended benefit/insurance providers due to the restrictions and limitations they put on service providers.

Do you offer payment arrangements or sliding scale rates?

All sessions must be paid for in full at time of booking. The Coastality team is comprised of highly-trained and experienced service providers and as such the fees are non-negotiable and we do not offer payment arrangements.

If you are experiencing financial hardship, there are resources available Provincially and Federally that may be able to assist. More information can be found on the Resources page.

Do you offer services for children?

We offer services for all individuals, families, and groups, and can accommodate children as young as four (4) years old. In special circumstances we may be able to offer preliminary service to children younger than four (4).

Why do you record virtual sessions, and what do you do with the recording?
Virtual sessions are recorded strictly for the purposes of clinical notes and administrative record-keeping. Each session is recorded in both video and audio formats, and the audio is transcribed so that your clinician is free to engage with each client in a more meaningful way during the session, without the need or distraction of taking exhaustive physical notes. Following each session, the video, audio, chat transcript, and audio transcript files are encrypted and securely uploaded to a PIPA-compliant cloud-based storage where it can only be accessed by our team for the purposes of providing you with clinical services. It is the same as taking physical notes and securely storing them digitally, a practice that most clinicians and clients are familiar with, without any additional risks.

Your privacy and protecting your information is important to us.
