Jaime was born and raised in Nanaimo and has lived in the Nanaimo area all her life. She enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended families, playing with her dog Tony, and reading about the latest clinical trends, admitting to spending too much time in Chapters. She works with individuals, families, and groups to address and meaningfully heal the wounds created by a multitude of issues such as mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, grief and loss, parenting, relationship issues, and more.
Jaime holds a Masters Degree (Honours) in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and has completed courses in Self-Compassion in Psychotherapy, Group Process, and Effective Interpersonal Communication Skills. In her experiences that have spanned over 15 years she has provided counselling services in public and private clinical settings such as private treatment centres, community-based counselling and resource centres, and crisis support services. She finds great satisfaction in facilitating lasting, positive change for clients and celebrating in their ultimate success in overcoming the obstacles they face while coming out the other side stronger and better equipped to face any new challenges that may come their way. Jaime is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
